Professor Jarrahi's research centers on the impact of emerging digital technologies on the future of work and organizations. He has investigated flexible organizational contexts like the gig economy, focusing on the complex roles of digital labor platforms in shaping work practices within these areas. Since 2017, his studies have explored how the integration of AI is transforming knowledge work.​​
